Aligning Your Entrepreneurial Energy: Using the Planets to Guide Your Weekly Routine

Written by: Nicole Dunbar

Most people know that astrology can tell them about their personalities and current events, but did you know that astrology can help you create a weekly routine that allows you to thrive as a business owner?

Each day of the week is ruled by a different planet, and understanding the influence of each planet can help you set yourself up for a successful week. Let’s dive in!

One Day at a Time

Monday is ruled by the Moon, which highlights our emotions, intuition, and our desire for home and comfort. The Moon rules the sign of Cancer, so Cancer placements may feel connected to Mondays. Despite the fact that our society loves to advertise Mondays as the day to kick off the week and be productive, astrologically, Mondays are a day to take it slow and reset. We are encouraged to spend time by the water, journal, and move our bodies intentionally through activities such as yoga and walking. As a business owner, this is a great day for solo work time and easing into responsibilities.

Tuesday is ruled by Mars, inviting action, motivation and confidence. Mars rules the signs of Aries and Scorpio, so these placements may feel particularly impacted by Tuesday’s energy. We are encouraged to dive into our to-do list and participate in high intensity physical activities such as running, kickboxing, and HIIT. As a business owner, this is the best day of the week to launch new offerings because of the passionate, driven energy Tuesday provides. This is also a great day to start new projects and complete any tasks that require a lot of motivation.

Wednesday is ruled by Mercury, encouraging communication, intellect, and problem-solving. Mercury rules the signs of Gemini and Virgo, so these placements may notice a boost in energy on Wednesdays. (As a Gemini Sun, Virgo Rising, I can confirm!) Wednesday is an excellent day to read, study, or take a course. As a business owner, this is a great day for meetings and collaboration, brainstorming, and writing emails and newsletters.

Thursday is ruled by Jupiter, providing an energy of abundance and encouraging expansive, big thinking. Jupiter rules the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, which means that Sagittarius and Pisces placements may feel connected to Thursdays. We are encouraged to spend the day practicing gratitude, visualizing our future dreams, and engaging in somatic/spiritual work such as yoga, breathwork, reiki, and meditation. As a business owner, this is a great day for learning and teaching, and to complete any budgeting/finance-related tasks.

Friday is ruled by Venus, which is all about romance, beauty, and creativity. Venus rules the signs of Libra and Taurus, so these placements may feel particularly impacted by Friday’s energy. This energy is perfect for beauty/self-care appointments, date nights, and good, nourishing meals. As a business owner, this is a great day for creative projects and creating social media content.

Saturday is ruled by Saturn, highlighting the themes of structure and discipline. Saturn rules the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius, so these placements may feel extra motivated on Saturdays. Although Saturdays are often viewed as a day of leisure, the energy of the day is actually amazing for running errands, studying, or going to a workout class. As a business owner, this is a great day to get organized, set goals, and tie up on any loose ends.

Sunday is ruled by the Sun, encouraging self-expression, leisure, and self-renewal. The Sun rules the sign of Leo, so Leo placements may feel connected to Sunday’s energy. This is the perfect day for time in nature, time with family and friends, and time for rest - permission to sleep in or take a nap! Sundays are also great for setting intentions and cooking.

Making Your Week Work for You

This guide is a great starting point as a general overview for the collective. If you want to take a deeper dive into applying this to your business and your entrepreneurial routine, you can take a look at your own placements. If you are already familiar with your Natal Chart, pull it up and dig in!

  • Take a look at what signs you have placements in, and how that may influence your energy on each day of the week based on the information above.

  • It is also helpful to look at what sign each of these planets land in on your chart. For example, my Moon is in Aries. Although Monday is a slow, reset day for the collective, my Aries Moon is a bit more bold and action-oriented!

If you aren’t familiar with your Natal Chart, I’d love to help you take a deep dive into your placements so that you can use this information to set yourself up for a successful weekly routine as a business owner! You can book a reading with me at the link HERE!
